Discerning the time for You “personally” to make a move
◄ Ecclesiastes 3:1 ►
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens
A season is a division of a period in one’s life; marked by changes in life’s events, and timing. Everything alive shall rotate forward as a big wheel keeps on turning. Night & Day. spring, summer, autumn and winter. Ecological Seasons result from the yearly orbit of the Earth around the Sun and the tilt of the Earth’s rotational axis relative to the plane of the orbit. In temperate and polar regions, the seasons are marked by changes in the intensity of sunlight that reaches the Earth’s surface, variations of which may cause animals to go into hibernation or to migrate, and plants to be dormant.
Even the stork in the heavens knows her times, and the turtledove, swallow, and crane keep the time of their coming, but my people know not the rules of the Lord.
Remember 30 March 2014 we talked about the amazing journey of a Mornach Butterfly. It is fascinating to see that -within the animals- was locked-up a “sense” to move at specific seasons. That sense is within us (humanity) as well, but often, we are too afraid to respond, to pursue, to persist, to push through resistance, to seize the moment; It shows that we are not all really living. It is amazing to see how plants and animals respond to seasonal changes but quite unfortunate to see people stagnate in religion and religious circles that refuse their timing (their move) into their purposes of God…or calling or destiny.
Seasons and times were created so purpose can be fulfilled. Perhaps God is tagging in your heart to make a big move and change carriers. He may be showing you it’s time to use your talents or something simple as to moving to a new company or to a new department but you are focusing on titles and labels. Often these titles go with status, perception and money. “No! how can I move to politics….I am an aeronautical engineer”. How can I go to the music industry, I am a mother, or I am too old or too young. We live in a world of boxes, titles and labels. People seem to understand things better when they fit perfectly into these boxes created for them. They even label their relationship with God, that when He shows them to something new and different they label it as a devil. These boxes and labels are creating limitations and stagnation. Let’s free our minds to flow with the direction of the Holy Spirit, so we can prosper.
Change is overwhelming, it’s difficult, it’s shocking, it’s exposing, but it’s the best thing a human being can ever do for personal development and growth. Moving into the unknown is not easy, but you aren’t the first one to do it. In fact people do it all the time, by choice or forced by circumstances. We often refer to these people as risk takers, but they are actually doing what’s natural. When you know it’s time to move, you know that you know….because that sense of knowing is a God given sense to all living beings, for us is to respond. The Holy Spirit will help us along the way. People will help you along the way. E.g. 2010 we responded to the call to migrate to France, Toulouse…it was our biggest move yet. People gave me a list of challenges and difficulties we will face, but to me, nothing seems more difficult than the stagnation I was experiencing in my life at the time. It was time for a big move, and today four years has passed. Moves or migrations don’t have to be necessarily drastic like relocating to a foreign country. 1997 I moved from Durban a city in South Africa to a capital city Pretoria when I joined the Millitary -Airforce-. 2003 moved from the Airforce to Civil Aviation in Johannesburg. No matter the move, they are your moves prescribed for your personal path.
Once you have discern the moment, hold on to the promises of God and take a leap of faith. These times are so significant in a human beings life that they call for faith. Act crasy and close your natural senses; your eyes, ears, ect… Go with your intuition and make that bold move. If needs be, don’t talk about it, unless you know the other person believes in you.
Jesus spoke to the box makers, “the Pharisees”
“(Mathew 16:2-3 NKJ) “He answered and said to them, “When it is evening you say it will be fair weather, for the sky is red’;
“and in the morning it will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.
It is the same with most of people today – people can discern so many natural things. Even as Christians, we know the latest fashion, the trends, the hottest music, the best car etc. Christians can exercise discernment in natural things but cannot discern the present spiritual seasons for their own lives.
We ought to perceive Gods invitations and pursuits. We shouldn’t miss the great and small signs given to us by the Holy Spirit due to the rush of daily life.
